Wind damaged tree in Hartlepool

We were asked by one of our commercial clients to attend a sixth form college in Hartlepool following some high winds. There’d been a report of a large fracture at the base of the tree. Storm-damaged trees like this are handled by our emergency tree surgeon team. On arrival our Professional Tree Inspector, Simon, found the two main stems had began to part at a bark included union.

Two workers in orange safety gear stand beside a partially cut tree, observing the hollow trunk and fallen pieces on the ground.

Having confirmed the situation, and assessed the required resources the site was cordoned off by the school. As soon as the wind levels dropped our teams were able to attend with a MEWP and safely remove the tree without putting any climbers at risk.
